Dana Wood

Camp Creina By Dana WoodMy landscape paintings are inspired by Canada’s West Coast. I see beauty within the intricacies of water and earth and am attracted to the ways that colour, light and motion interact. My work seeks to capture the physical and emotional details of places I feel I belong, and by painting these natural intricacies, I feel I have purpose.

I am a recent BFA graduate from the Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary, Alberta. My four years in Alberta made me realize how connected I feel to my West-Coast home and my sense of longing towards that home became the voice behind my creative process. I am currently living back on Vancouver Island and am ever grateful to have grown up in such a beautiful place.
